Getting
a Library Card
A Library Card Will Allow You To:
- Check out books and other information resources.
- Remotely (e.g., from home) search the library's online article databases
(huge collections of the electronic version of reputable magazine, journal,
and newspaper articles). Remote access is limited to
students, faculty and staff of LSCS.
- Request that information resources at other LSCS libraries be sent to
the LSC-Montgomery Library so they can be checked out to you. You can request
resources either remotely or in the library.
Student, Staff or Faculty
Enrolled students, staff or faculty at any LSCS college - Montgomery, North
Harris, Tomball, Kingwood, or CyFair qualify for a library card to borrow books
from the college libraries.
Library card applications may be completed at any LSCS library. Students enrolled
in eCollege (Distance
Learning) courses may apply for a library card online.
You are responsible for any item borrowed on your library card. If you lose
your card, please notify the Library immediately.
Community Members
If you reside in one of the school districts which provide support for the LSCS,
you may receive a library card. This will enable you to borrow books from any
of the libraries within the LSCS. Community patrons may also use the databases
while physically in the library.
- Books from the circulating book collection are checked out for two weeks
and may be renewed two times if there are no holds on the item.
